The Viking Xpress Bus Pass, good for unlimited rides on all WTA routes, can be picked up at the Western Card office in Edens Hall. Lost passes can be replaced at the Western Card office. Regular hours are Monday –Friday from 9:00am to 4:00 pm. To better serve students, the Western Card office moves to a central distribution location on campus during a few peak times of the year including the first week of classes in September. Eligibility
Students registered for 6+ credits are automatically charged the quarterly Alternative Transportation fee and are eligible to pick up a WTA Viking Xpress Bus Pass.
Students registered for 1-5 credits can receive a bus pass through the Opt-in process. Visit the Western Card office, complete the opt-in form which authorizes the Alternative Transportation Fee, and pick up a bus pass.
Please Note: Students who register for 6+ credits for any quarter, then drop to 1-5 credits for that quarter must use the opt-in process to retain a valid bus pass. Go to the Western Card office and complete the opt-in form. To avoid cancellation of a current bus pass do this before the end of the week following the last day to register and add a class for the quarter.
The Viking Xpress Bus Pass is valid starting September 21, 2008 until June 20, 2009. Students attending Summer Quarter classes will be issued Summer Quarter passes starting Spring Quarter 2009.
